U-Fom: Universal Fiber Optical Multiplexer  (FOM)

U-FOM is designed to provide point to point optical transmission for multiplexing tributary electrical and/or optical signals. It simultaneously transmits and receives optical signals through optical fiber, and converts them into original electrical signal in full duplex transmission for telephone, video and data transmission in the mean time.

Designed as a single unit (1U), 19”/23” rack mountable, it supports 4 slots of modular-designed tributary module (card) at the rear side of the chassis. T1/E1, V.35, Ethernet and Giga-bit Ethernet tributary cards are all available for U-FOM, which may extend the service range up to 40 km over fiber optic cable.
