System Overview:

If the carrier use IP-DSLAM with Ethernet interface or ADSL modem but require longer transmission distance, Scarab-E (Ethernet modem) is a good solution.

1.Ethernet port from IP DSLAM only can support less than 100 meter distance. To solve this shorter transmission distance, Scarab-E can extend transmission distance to 2~5Km by SHDSL.

2. If the user rent 1.5M bandwidth , the transmission distance only can be 1.8 Km by ADSL Modem. If the user require the longer transmission, Scarab-E can extend extend transmission distance to 2~5Km by SHDSL.
