Functional Block Diagram   System Application FOM - Fox -F

The major functional block diagram of Fox-F. They are:

Ø Tributary Module: Fox-F provides four low speed slots for various kinds of modules like T1, E1, (TEM- T1 and/or E1 Module, FTEM- Framed T1 and/or E1 Module) 10/100M Ethernet (ETHM- Ethernet Module), V.35 … and so on.

Ø Traffic MUX: This block implements the multiplex/de-multiplex between low speed and high speed aggregate interfaces. It also provides the status of alarm and PM for microprocessor.

Ø OIM: (Optical Interface Module) Two OIM slots are provided by Fox-F. This module converts internal electrical signals to high speed aggregated optical interface.

Ø Microprocessor: Provide OAM&P (Operation, Administration, Maintenance and Provision) functions, including monitor status, serve OS management, handle CIT operation and control LED/LCD.

Ø OS: This is 10/100M Ethernet physical port with SNMP network management function.

Ø CIT: An RS-232 port with menu-driven operation. Please refer to Appendix A Menu-driven Operations for more detail information.

Ø AC Power Supply: This block convert the 110V/220V AC power to +5V DC* for system operation.

Ø -48V DC: It converts the -48V DC input to +5V DC* for system operation.

Ø LED: It is used for indicating the system status.

Ø LCD: It provides four keypads and one LCD panel for local management.

Ø Reset Button: Push to reset system
               * Note: The AC and DC powers are load sharing when equipped both.
