The major functional block
diagram of Fox-F. They are:

Ø Tributary Module:
Fox-F
provides four low speed slots for various kinds of
modules like T1, E1, (TEM- T1 and/or E1 Module, FTEM-
Framed T1 and/or E1 Module) 10/100M Ethernet (ETHM-
Ethernet Module), V.35 … and so on.

Traffic MUX: This block implements the
multiplex/de-multiplex between low speed and high speed
aggregate interfaces. It also provides the status of
alarm and PM for microprocessor.

OIM: (Optical Interface
Module) Two OIM slots are provided by Fox-F. This module
converts internal electrical signals to high speed
aggregated optical interface.

Ø Microprocessor: Provide OAM&P (Operation, Administration,
Maintenance and Provision) functions, including monitor
status, serve OS management, handle CIT operation and
control LED/LCD.

OS: This is 10/100M
Ethernet physical port with SNMP network management
function.

Ø CIT: An RS-232 port with menu-driven operation. Please
refer to Appendix A Menu-driven Operations for more
detail information.

Ø AC Power Supply: This block convert the 110V/220V AC power
to +5V DC* for system operation.

-48V DC: It converts
the -48V DC input to +5V DC* for system operation.

LED:
It is used for indicating the system status.

Ø LCD: It provides four keypads and one LCD panel for local
management.

Reset Button: Push to reset system
